An NIR sensor was integrated into our latest generation H3 GrainGage and in an effort to provide the best value to our existing H2 customers, an NIR upgrade kit was developed to allow the H2 to have NIR capabilities.
This kit includes moisture calibrations for corn, wheat, barley, and soybean. You no longer need to plant moisture calibration plots, with varying maturity, just to get grain samples with enough moisture range to use for calibration. Either the H2 NIR upgrade kit or the H3 GrainGage will save you time and money during planting and harvest. No need to hand harvest, shell and dry down grain samples. Every combine in your fleet can be using the exact same moisture calibration.
The H3 moisture only calibrations for corn are robust with a measurement range from 6% to 36%. This calibration works across all maturity zones. No need to recalibrate moisture on combines throughout the season or when combines are moved to new locations.
The H3 can still accurately measure plot weight and test weight but doesn’t require dumping multiple grain samples through your combines. Just get your combines ready for harvest, check your weight calibrations, then go to the field.
